The pink gum material used in our DIY kits firms as it cools but remains heat-adjustable. It is not the same material or process as a professionally processed acrylic denture base. That ability to soften it again is useful because you can make small changes instead of starting over every time the fit needs adjusting.
Why reheating matters
Beginners don't always get every curve and edge exactly where they want it on the first try. With thermoplastic gum material, you can warm the area again, reshape it, and let it cool. That makes the project more forgiving while you're learning.
